As I mentally close out last school year (I emptied and moved my room a week ago) I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm now an Art Teacher again. For real, for good, forever and ever until I die. (There's no "retirement" when you change careers at 35)
I have these little random panic attacks when I think, oh my god, I've got to start another school year in a few short weeks, and then I have this wave of... elation... when I remember that I'll be teaching Art instead of Math, Science, Social Studies, and the dreaded high stakes and pressure READING and WRITING...
I loved teaching First grade, no lie, but it wasn't My Love, my passion, my dream, my area of expertise...
I'm so excited to see what happens and I can't wait to post our art on here to share.
